History of the Great Wall of China

The Great Wall of China was developed to demarcate the borders and castles of the Chinese kingdoms. The construction of the wall began in the 7th century BC by the Chu State and lasted until 1878 in the Qing Dynasty. Most of the remaining walls we see today were built in the Ming Dynasty about 600 years ago.
